About 38 joggers from Kisumu county were on Friday charged in court for flouting the social distancing directives.
The joggers who included minors were arraigned at the Kisumu high court where they all denied the charges.
The children were aged between three and six years but did not take a plea.
This makes it the first case to go before a judge regarding the flouting of social distancing measures that were put in place to fight the Coronavirus.
The presiding judge issued a fine of Sh1000 but warned the joggers that they might face strict penalties if they continue flouting the rules.
